Halter signs with VU Golf; Rivet product adds local flavor, solid skills

One of the Vincennes area’s top high school golfers has signed a national letter of intent to continue his career on the links with the defending NJCAA Div. III National Champion Vincennes University Golf Team.
Vincennes Rivet senior Alex Halter made his VU commitment official Tuesday with his parents, Tony and Mistene, other family members and Rivet coaches Charlie Waggoner and Kristi Waggoner looking on. He is the second notable commitment to VU Coach Dennis Chattin’s team for the 2014-15 school year.

Griffith signs with VU Golf; Trailblazers land 1 of state’s top prep golfers

MADISON, Ind. – One of the state’s top high school golfers recently signed his national letter of intent to continue his career on the collegiate level at Vincennes University.
Madison Consolidated High School senior and two-time IHSAA Golf State Championship qualifier Jordan Griffith committed to the Trailblazers in a signing ceremony at the high school.

VU Golf finishes 4th at Rose-Hulman; Sloan grabs 10th with VU’s best round of event

TERRE HAUTE – The Vincennes University Golf Team finished fourth and four of five Trailblazers were in the top 20 individually at the Rose-Hulman Invitational Saturday and Sunday at Hulman Links Golf Course in Terre Haute.
Hanover won the event with a two-round team score of 612 (+36), while host Rose-Hulman and Thomas More College tied for second with scores of 620. The Trailblazers carded a team score of 628. VU was followed by fifth place Wabash (637).
