Trailblazers strand 11 baserunners in falling 7-1 at Wabash Valley College

MT. CARMEL, Ill. – The Vincennes University Blazer Baseball Team’s pitching staff issued 11 walks and the Trailblazer batting order left 11 runners on base Saturday at Wabash Valley College, and the offense’s missed opportunities and the VU hurlers’ free passes turned into a 7-1 loss to the host Warriors.

VU Blazer Baseball splits DH with St. Joseph'’s College by 3-2, 7-3 scores

The Vincennes University Blazer Baseball Team dropped the opener of a Good Friday doubleheader vs. St. Joseph’s at Jerry Blemker Field and then battled back to claim the second game.
In the 3-2 setback in Game 1, VU sophomore starter Ryan Cheek when six innings and gave up all here St. Joseph’s runs (two earned) in the fourth inning when he gave yielded a hit and walked a hitter one out later. Then, a double by Pumas catcher Talon Parke plated both runners before the VU cut-off throw from the outfield sailed into the Trailblazers’ dugout and allowed Parke to score as well.

Three VU men's basketball players, one women's player sign national letters of intent

Vincennes University men's basketball players Devin Foster, Loomis Gerring and Willie Wiley, plus Trailblazer women's basketball player Ashley Hawkins signed their national letters of intent Wednesday on the NCAA's first day of the signing period.
Foster is headed to Penn State, Gerring to Missouri State and Wiley and Hawkins to Evansville.
Additional signings are expected for both programs later in the spring.
