VU Golf 2nd in own invitational; Runner-up effort continues solid VU fall season play

MONTGOMERY – The Vincennes University Golf Team finished as runner-up in its own VU Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday at Country Oaks Golf Course in Montgomery.
Rend Lake won the event with a team score of 593. VU finished at 603, while Cincinnati State (618), Lincoln Trail (640), Kaskaskia (647) and IU-East (659) followed. Rend Lake’s Dalton Korte was also the individual medalist with a two-round score of 144 after winning a playoff over Cincinnati State’s Taylor Suggs.

VU Cross Country teams remain in top 20 in second week of NJCAA polls

The Vincennes University Cross Country Teams remained in the Top 20 in the second NJCAA Div. I Cross Country Rankings for this season. The latest polls were released Thursday afternoon.
The Trailblazers are sitting at No. 12 in the women’s poll where Iowa Central is No. 1, and in 16th place on the men’s side (Iowa Central is also No. 1).

VU Blazer Baseball announces 2014 Fall Baseball Showcases; Workouts put prep players in front of VU coaches

The Vincennes University Blazer Baseball Team will hold its 2014 Fall Showcases on Oct. 18 (rain date: Oct. 19) and Nov. 8 (rain date: Nov. 9) for top high school players who are serious about their future in college baseball to showcase their talents in front of the VU Baseball coaching staff.
