Transfer Burns, prep star Jackson join Trailblazers’ crop of newcomers

The Vincennes Trailblazers have added two more cogs – including some sophomore transfer experience – to the 2013-14 roster with the signings of Central Wyoming transfer Paris Burns and Kentucky prep All-Star Stuart Jackson.
VU Coach Todd Franklin announced the signings Monday. He said the Trailblazers should sign one more newcomer for the upcoming season before the summer concludes.

VU Golf Team earns 1st NJCAA national title; Chattin, 3 VU players grab national honors

CHAUTAUQUA, NY – The Vincennes University Golf Team claimed its first NJCAA National Championship Friday by edging runner-up Sandhills Community College on the final day of the NJCAA Div. III National Golf Championship on the Lake Course at the Chautauqua Golf Course in Chautauqua, NY.
VU posted a three-round total of 910 (+46), which was four strokes better than Sandhills. Host Jamestown Community College had been the early leader and came in third overall with a 915 (+51) team score.

VU Golf hangs on to 2nd place after national event’s 2nd day; Stewart sits in 5th at end of 2nd round

CHAUTAUQUA, NY – The Vincennes University Golf Team held on second place and was breathing down the necks of leader Jamestown at the conclusion of second round play Wednesday at the NJCAA Div. III Golf National Championship in Chautauqua, NY. VU had a team score of 607, one stroke behind host Jamestown’s 606 score.
